What is the degree earned at the end of the program? Is the program equivalent to an on-campus degree?

Students will receive the same high-quality instruction as the on-campus students, and will graduate with the same degree and same diploma.

The MCIT (Master of Computer and Information Technology) degree is a Master’s degree but not a Master of Science degree. MCIT is its own unique credential that has earned an excellent reputation on Penn’s campus over the last 17 years. It is considered a STEM degree by the US government and the knowledge gained is comparable to a Master of Science in Computer Science.
